Open Enrollment (OE) is the one time each year when employees can enroll, drop or make benefit coverage changes without a qualifying life event. OE starts Monday, 11/6 and ends Friday, 11/17. (No late enrollments will be accepted.). Enrollment changes made during OE are effective 01/01/18.
If you are a benefits-eligible employee working at least 17½ hours per week (even if you aren’t currently enrolled in the district’s health plan), plan on joining us for an onsite biometric health screening this December. Biometric screenings can help identify if you’re at risk for diabetes, heart disease, hypertension or other chronic diseases. The screenings are district-paid through the employee wellness program and results are confidential.
Even healthy people can get the flu. Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting a flu shot. For your convenience, the district is partnering with Nextera Healthcare to offer seven onsite flu shot clinics for benefit-eligible employees who work 17.5 hours per week or more (see the schedule below). The shots are district-paid through the employee wellness program. Though walk-ins will be accepted, we recommend scheduling an appointment to keep wait times to a minimum. Registration is now open.

Horizontal increments on the Teacher’s Salary Schedule will be implemented at the beginning of the contract year, August 10 and again on January 1. To qualify for such an increment the credits must have been completed by September 1 or January 1 and official transcripts submitted to the District no later than October 13 or February 15.
The start of a new academic year is one of my favorite times to visit our schools and talk with our students, families, teachers and staff. Our hallways are filled with a palpable optimism and drive to continue our momentum toward the highest levels of academic growth and success.
